Our Story

Our farm

We grew up with and have always loved fresh, delicious whole food.  With this simple truth in mind (and a whole lot of luck) we started farming our seven acres in Keremeos, BC in 2009.

We’re certified organic (PACS #16-212) but learned quickly that everybody has a different idea of what the word ‘organic’ means and most are far from the truth. Our story so far has led us away from this confusing argument altogether and into a conversation – a conversation with our customers about what we all like to eat, what we all value, and what we think is the best way to steward the planet for our children.

And for the record, we think the critics are right: just being certified organic isn’t enough.  It’s forging a link between eater and grower that provides real trust and puts the value back into a relationship older than history. In other words, while we believe certification goes a long way toward establishing credibility, we see a good reputation as far more important than an expensive certification – a reputation for quality, freshness, trust, and value. If value returns to food, farmers can once again be innovators, craftsmen, and economically viable. Eaters can only gain.

Our story continues to grow with our reputation.  We love farming and meeting our customers in person.  They inspire us to new endeavors and new ideas.  Come visit again to see wha the next chapter brings!
